RESEARCH CLUB SHIRT - PASTEL GREEN
€390.00
Crafted and embroidered in Paris, the Club Recherche Shirt reinterprets the American bowling shirt through an unexpected construction.
Drawn from a 1960s Eastwood Studio archive, its crossed double breasted closure introduces a rare tailoring reference into a leisure garment, creating a structured yet relaxed silhouette.
At the back, a chainstitch embroidery executed on a vintage machine depicts a Parisian Cogg ship sailing before an Eiffel Tower reimagined as a lighthouse.
This traditional chainstitch technique, selected for its depth and dimensional texture, faithfully echoes the craftsmanship of 1950s productions.
Conceived as a statement piece, the Club Recherche Shirt embodies Eastwood Studio’s vision: bridging artisanal heritage with contemporary design.
Context
In the late 1960s, as souvenir jacket production became increasingly complex and costly, the bowling shirt emerged as a new commemorative garment.
Inspired by American leisurewear, it was produced and personalised in Japan for GI’s stationed on military bases.
Embroidered with club names and team insignia, it became a symbol of camaraderie and collective memory.
The Club Recherche Shirt continues this historical transition, elevating an everyday garment into a piece shaped by heritage and narrative. The prices shown correspond to our Atelier Edition direct pricing.
